South Africa's rural Free State, formerly called the "Oranje Vrystaat", has - until recently - neglected to develop and advertise its tourist attractions. It lies a bit off the tourist routes, though there are quite a few interesting destinations, which will be presented in this menu.
The Northern Cape Province is not well promoted to international tourism either. However, with the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park, it includes one of the greatest attractions, South Africa has to offer.
This huge game reserve is quite remote and one must travel long distances from any urban centre to get there
. Anyone who loves desert landscapes with their fascinating animal world should not miss this park.
